John delivered an inspirational talk on how he has found motivation for living his best life with Parkinson’s while staying positive and finding joy and humor.
The theme of John’s presentation was Parkies are “ordinary people doing extra-ordinary things” throughout their lives.
Nutrition or Diet and Exercise are key components of “the secrets to living your best life” with Parkinsons. He presented his four nutrition pillars: Often, Sometimes, Never and Party. Examples of each category are listed to help you eat better. For instance, an organic diet with a reduced intake of sugars, dairy and carbs would be a good start.
Exercise should be daily and disciplined. Find what motivates you. Discover your inspiration.
Otherwise, live an active engaged life. Embrace those who inspire, seek purpose, and use humor for stress relief.
